Remember that every Medicare beneficiary should review his or her coverage every fall and find the Part D plan that works best in terms of cost, coverage and customer service. Significant monetary savings are possible when your clients do their research every fall.
Find out which plan sponsors are offering national Part D plans. It's important to understand that in 2009 there are no national plans that charge a premium below the low-income benchmark. Your Extra Help clients will need to carefully research Part D plans in your state to determine which plan meets their needs, especially in terms of coverage and cost.
